Equipment Glossary

A Photographic VR panorama lets you view a scene, such as an outdoor vista or room interior, from a variety of angles. The panorama is created from a series of overlapping shots, stitched together. Indeed, if you have ever been to a place with grand sweeping landscapes, you may have attempted to capture a panoramic image by hand holding a camera and taking a number of overlapping shots from one side to the other - often these images just won't quite line up. The process of creating panoramas is made easy when you have the right hardware and software.

Before you can start taking photographs, here are some of the main pieces of equipment you'll (ideally) need:

    1. Cameras
    2. Tripod
    3. “Panoramic Head”
    4. Alternatives
