Alternatives

If you are creating a spherical panorama using the “iPix” system, you have the following choices as far as equipment is concerned:

Fisheye lens - these allow you to capture images of at least 180 degrees
Parabolic mirror devices – these can do roughly the same as using a fisheye lens
14 or 15mm wide angle – this lens allows you to add "up" and "down" shots.
